“Why corporate videos get ignored.”
It’s a topic we’ve been thinking about quite a bit lately. Often, it isn’t because the production was poor or the message wasn’t important. More often, it’s because too much information is being asked of a single video.
A company update, an internal announcement, a training message, and a call to action can sometimes all end up in one piece of content. In our experience, the videos that tend to connect best are the ones with a clear purpose and a well-defined audience.
Who is this for?
What is the one thing they need to understand?
What action should they take afterwards?
Sometimes that leads to one carefully crafted video. Other times, it makes sense to create several shorter pieces, each focused on a single message.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach, but spending time on the communication objective before filming often makes all the difference.
